Benefits of Membership
Along with the benefits of support, encouragement and friendships that last a lifetime, Zeta Phi Beta membership offers many practical benefits.
Professional Development - Zeta women develop leadership skills by attending seminars, holding officer and committee positions with the chapter; and serving as role models for the Sorority's youth affiliates.
Personal Development - Membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is a living and learning experience for women with shared values and objectives. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities where you can use your unique talents and knowledge to contribute to the chapter and your community.
Sisterhood - Zeta Phi Beta encourages women to learn and grow in the spirit of sisterly love and friendship.
Membership Process
Becoming a member of any sorority or fraternity is a big decision and life-long commitment. It should not be taken lightly and appropriately warrants a detailed process to gain membership.
Consciously aware that sorority and fraternity culture is often unknown in the UK, we have outlined the key components below.
We encourage anyone who is interested to contact us for more information, attend an Informational Meeting (please contact us for an upcoming date), and research online.
Educational Requirements
Zetas in England is a graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated which requires that members must have at least one university level degree. There are several accreditation bodies that the Sorority works with globally. Below are the requirements for women who received their degree from a UK university:

Applicants must have a university level degree conferred from one of the UK Government's recognised bodies with degree granting powers.

If applying within three (3) years after graduating with an undergraduate level degree, must have either earned a 2.2 (lower second class) or have earned an advanced postgraduate qualification such as a Master's degree or Professional degree.

The applicant must provide be able to provide their undergraduate transcript to confirm eligibility for membership, regardless of whether any advanced postgraduate qualifications have been earned.
Demonstrate Interest
Attending our public events is a great way for you to get to know our chapter, the wider Sorority , and what we do. Likewise, it is a great way for us to learn more about how your skills, knowledge, and personality align with our principles, service programmes, and mission.
Alongside event attendance, interested women are also encouraged to show interest in membership through attending an Informational Interest Meeting. At these meetings, we dig deeper into the the history of our organisation and the attributes we consider that inform our decision whether to invite individuals to become members. Please note that attendance at an Informational Interest Meeting does not guarantee that an invitation to membership will be extended.

Finer Women Don't Haze
It is expected that individuals who are invited to membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, have demonstrated a commitment to scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood. If you are considering membership, we encourage you to become familiar with Zeta’s Policy Against Hazing. You are never required to participate in hazing activities to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In fact, members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and women who are interested in membership are prohibited from engaging in conduct that violates the Policy Against Hazing.
